1 Park in a safe, well‑lit area. Turn off the engine and remove the key (if applicable).

2 Clean the areas where the rear camera will mount (inside rear window) and where wires will be tucked.

3 Locate the factory trim piece behind the rearview mirror – it’s a plastic cover that snaps off. Have the trim tool ready.

4 Gently insert the trim tool between the factory cover and the base. Pry carefully – it’s held by clips. It should pop off without much force. (If you’re unsure, watch a Prius trim removal video online.)

5 Disconnect any attached connector? On most XW60 models, this cover is just cosmetic – no wires. If there is a small connector (for auto‑dimming mirror, etc.), it’s usually higher up; this lower cover is plain.

6 Take the Wefoka front camera unit and align it with the mounting points. Press firmly until it clicks into place. It should sit flush, looking exactly like the original. One reviewer said: “It blends perfectly with the interior and honestly looks like it came straight from the factory.”

7 The rear camera connects to the front unit via the long 6m cable. Start at the front camera – plug the cable into the “REAR” port on the front unit.

8 Tuck the cable into the headliner (roof liner) along the windshield edge, then along the driver’s side (or passenger) door frame. Use the trim tool to push the cable gently under the rubber weather stripping. It should be completely hidden.

9 Continue routing the cable towards the rear of the vehicle, following the contour of the roof. At the C‑pillar, you may need to gently pull the trim to pass the cable through. Then bring it to the center of the rear window.

10 Leave enough cable at the end to connect the rear camera. Secure any excess with the included cable clips along the edge of the rear window.

The kit includes a fuse tap for a clean, professional installation. You’ll connect to a fuse that’s only powered when the ignition is on (since there’s no parking mode).

11 Locate the interior fuse box – usually under the dashboard on the driver’s side. Consult your Prius owner’s manual for exact location.

12 Identify a suitable fuse slot that’s switched (e.g., cigarette lighter, accessory). Use a test light or multimeter if unsure.

13 Remove the chosen fuse and insert it into the fuse tap’s bottom slot. Plug the fuse tap into the same slot. Connect the red wire from the dash cam power cable to the fuse tap’s wire (crimp or solder – many owners simply use the included tap connector).

14 Find a good ground point (a metal bolt near the fuse box). Loosen it, slide the black ground wire terminal under it, and tighten securely.

15 Plug the power cable into the front camera unit. Tuck any excess cable behind the headliner or A‑pillar trim.

16 (Optional) If you prefer the cigarette lighter socket, you can use the included 12V adapter – just route the cable to the socket. It’s less clean but easier.

17 Clean the inside of the rear window with the microfiber cloth. Choose a spot near the top center, where the camera has a clear view and the cable can reach.

18 Peel the adhesive backing off the rear camera mount and press firmly onto the glass for 30 seconds.

19 Connect the rear camera cable to the camera. Adjust the camera angle so it points straight back.

20 Double-check all connections: front camera plugged in, rear cable connected, power connected, ground secure.

21 Insert the 128GB card (already in the front unit) – ensure it’s fully seated.

22 Start your Prius. The dash cam should power on automatically (blue LED lights up). It will begin recording.

23 Download the Wefoka app from the App Store or Google Play. Connect to the dash cam’s WiFi (see manual for default SSID/password). Within the app, you should see live views from front and rear. Check that the date/time and GPS are correct.

24 Take a short test drive, then review a recorded clip to ensure everything works.
